English language learners are often at risk for communication and language delays and sometimes it becomes crucial elements in the foundation of early literacy skills especially among non-native speakers. One of the preschool teacher’s role is examined according to the educational perspectives that are explored in preschool settings including the curriculum and motivational level of preschoolers. The main objectives of this study are to determine level of English proficiency, identify their problems (teachers) and motivation among preschool children in theEast Coast of Malaysia.Specific environmental adaptations and adult interventions that teachers can use in their preschool classrooms to facilitate English learning that encourages early literacy skills are described.This is a qualitative study which involves the method of interview and observation. Findings show that preschools in Terengganu and Kelantan do conform to the National Preschool Curriculum to a certain degree with added values in their syllabus in which to suit the children needs in the respective preschools.The best aspect of early English language acquisition for the pupils is the teachers demonstrate and use the language with the children. The external factor to the high motivation level of English language learning of these children is the availability of reading materials. Preschools also do not produce clear guidelines for English language teaching. Both teacher training and conducive learning spaces topped the request list of these teachers. Based on the interview with the teachers, they have voiced out their concern in their teaching styles that might be outdated and might not conform to KPSK as required.Though the pupils are positively motivated in English language learning, however, efficient teaching is the main issue in these preschools.

A field experiment was conducted at the farm of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh, using 21 parental genotype to evaluate their genetic diversity with regard to fifteen root yield related characters viz,. plant height (cm), average leaf length (cm), largest leaf length (cm), root length (cm), leaf sheath length (cm), leaf blade length (cm), largest leaf breadth (cm), no. of leaf/plant, total leaf wt per plant (gm), fresh leaf wt per plant (gm), plant weight (gm), root weight per plant (gm), root diameter (mm), dry weight of leaf (gm) and dry weight of root (gm). The genotypes were grouped into four clusters, based on Mahalanobis D2 statistics. Geographical and genetic diversity were observed to be unrelated, as genotypes from diverse geographical regions were placed in the same cluster, while genotypes from the same centre were grouped into different clusters. Characters like root weight per plant (gm) and root diameter (mm) contributed considerably to the total divergence. The intra-cluster distances were smaller than inter-cluster distances which indicates that genotypes within in the cluster were less diverse. Maximum inter-cluster distance was observed between clusters II and cluster III followed by II and IV indicating wide genetic divergence between the genotypes of these two clusters. The lowest inter-cluster distance was observed between clusters III and IV suggesting a close relationship among the genotypes of these two clusters. Thus, crossing between the genotypes of cluster II and III would produce high heterotic progeny and may produce new recombinants with desired traits. The differences between genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV) and the phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) were low for all the characters indicated a low environmental influence over genetic factors on the characters. The GCV and PCV were generally high for Fresh leaf wt per plant (gm) and plant weight (gm).High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for leaf blade length (cm), fresh leaf wt per plant (gm) and plant weight (gm)

This study is aimed to explore the relationship between national culture (i.e., power distance, masculinity,collectivism, uncertainty avoidance, and long-term orientation), affective commitment, and employee performance. Specifically, this paper proposes that national culture affects many aspects of the organization, such as improving organizational innovation capabilities, organizational commitment, and employee performance.A high level of employees’ affective commitment towards the organization, it is possible that they have a sense of belonging and enthusiasm to do their jobs and achieve the goals. Furthermore, the theoretical implications and future research agenda are discussed.

Many young people in Rivers State are addicted to psychoactive drugs especially alcohol, mariwana, and tramadol, which propel them to commit violent crimes. Violent crime is on the rise in Rivers State, and its prevalence is further compounded by the increasing living of illicit drug abuse, especially by adolescents. Many teenagers who are under the influence of illegal substance engage in various forms of unlawful behaviours particularlygang violence,armed robbery, rape, kidnapping, illegal drug trade, trafficking in small arms and murder, while others under the influence of illicit drugs engage in petty crimes such as mobile phone snatching, car battery theft, burglary etc. Several scholarly arguments have been advanced as to the cause of high level of crime in Nigeria including poverty, unemployment, and frustration due to economic hardship. Other academic debates have also centred on whether drug abuse has any connection with criminal behavior. This paper, however, attempts to use Goldstein’s (1985) tripartite conceptual framework to explain the drug-crime connection in Rivers State.

This study aimed to determine the predictors of industrial drawing (ID) performance of technology students of one of the Universities in Iloilo City school year 2018-2019. The descriptive research method of investigation employed to 240 from 600 participants using Slovin's formula through stratified random sampling. Results showed that most of the participants were male, 19 years old, from the seven technology courses with a positive attitude in ID subject. All the participants rated their ID faculty as efficient in the delivery of their lessons using a variety of teaching methods. They all agreed that a conducive classroom, with a supportive peer group, and parents transpired average performance. Moreover, attitude in ID and parental support significantly predicted ID performance. In summary, they recommended that continuous upgrading of the curricular offerings, CAD software, facilities, and hiring competent faculty with diverse qualities will produce a versatile technologist working in the chosen workplace.

This research aims at identifying microfinance factors affecting women group enterprises. The series of microfinance programs and policies were put in place by the government to reduce the rate of poverty by empowering women through access to credit services. Nevertheless, it is evident that women entrepreneurs, especially in developing countries do not have easy access to micro-finance factors for the entrepreneurial activities hence they have low business performance than their male counterparts. The research problem emerged from the need to assess Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) effects on women entrepreneurial empowerment and social capital. The study was of great significance to the women entrepreneurs, the management of microfinance institution, the government and the community at large. The study presented analysis of culture, and deeper understanding of linkages between MFIs and women empowerment. Descriptive research design was adopted basing the study on selected women group enterprises within Kericho town (Kericho County) with a target population of 100 respondents of which 79 of them were sampled. The data was analysed by use of Statistical Package for Social Science. Validity was achieved through pilot study. The findings revealed that credit facility was the main factor which had affected the performance of the enterprise to a larger extend. Conclusions were that women have smaller loan size than men, hence finding it more difficult to get individual group loan that offer larger amounts with more flexibility to grow their business. The study recommended that there is need for expansion of credit facilities so that more women entrepreneurs can grow their businesses. There is also need for microfinance institutions to offer substantial amount of loan to women entrepreneurs and educate them on how to use and manage the loans.

This paper began its observations from microscopic circumstances of mobile services, and then linking these with a more macroscopic situational context of social behavior interactions. In order to establish a theoretical framework for the social behavior of mobile services, this paper selected Taiwan's top three telecommunications companies as its research subjects and applied the grounded theory analysis, which yielded concepts and propositions, and finally emerging theories. The contribution of this paper is in proposing a “theoretical framework for the global value of mobile services’ social behavior”, and in observing two kinds of core concepts for value path significance: fetishism of mobile information and quality of relationships. These two core concepts then converge and form the global value of mobile services’ social behavior.
